The ArcTeryx Khamsin 70 Backpack is ArcTeryx's largest mountaineering pack. Sized for multi-day expeditions, the Khamsin 70 features a supportive suspension system with horizontal composite frame members that prevent barreling when compressing the main body. Highly modular, this voluminous ArcTeryx pack can be shed of unwanted components and compressed small for summit pushes. Stripplable suspension components, such as a removable hipbelt, framesheet and top lid, allow you to customize the Khamsin to suit your lightweight requirements. The framesheet unfolds to become an emergency insulated bivouac pad with high-visibility coloring to signal others. A Hypalon reinforced front pocket expands out to hold gear you might want to keep out of the main compartment of your pack, such as crampons, a helmet, or various pieces of outerwear. This front pocket on the Khamsin can then compress flat, if the 70 liters of the interior compartment will be sufficient.
