The Suunto Lumi combines form and function in a package that works on the trail as well as out on the town. The Lumi's stylish design can be worn in three ways: on the wrist, clipped onto a belt or pack, or around the neck as a pendant. With four different accessory packs sold separately, the Lumi is customizable to any situation. In addition to looking good, the Lumi doesn't sacrifice any of the functionality of Suunto's renowned line of wristtop computers, including an altimeter, barometer, and compass.
The altimeter measures your height about sea level down to a meter. The Lumi takes measurements at regular intervals and can show your progress in an easy to read graph. The altimeter also automatically adjusts for temperature to give you the as accurate a reading as possible.
In addition to the altimeter, the Lumi's barometer and thermometer readings help you stay one step ahead of the weather. The Lumi automatically switches into barometer mode when you stop moving to give you the information you need when you need it. Like the altimeter, the barometer keeps track of recent pressure and alerts you to a sudden drop in air pressure that can signal inclement weather.
The Lumi also includes a digital compass. The interface is user-friendly, with a guided calibration and declination setting to make sure the compass pointing you the right way. Bearings are given in degrees and cardinal directions and a north arrow is always visible as a reference.
Combined with this ABC functionality, the Lumi also works great as a watch. The Lumi comes with a stopwatch, countdown timer, and snooze alarm. In addition, it provides sunrise and sunset times, so you never miss an opportunity for that perfect shot, whether the sun is coming up over a mountain range or striking skyline. Finally, the watch features a calendar and event countdown.
Combining sleek looks with the features that you rely on, the Suunto Lumi is truly a watch-of-all-trades.
