The upper of the Trail Fly is made from a combination of Neoform and Powervent Mesh. Protecting you foot from brusies and scratches that might be encountered on the trail, Neoform is an ultralight foam that doesn't absorb water and actually gets more comfortable over time. Powervent Mesh is a light, strong, and breathable fabric that lets your feet breathe but doesn't lessen the Trail Fly's durability. GoLite's PreciseFit System allows you the best fit possible, with an insole that can be adjusted for your foot's volume, giving you a better fit through fewer sizes. GoLite's Trail Strike last provides just the right amount of freedom of movement to enhance your body's natural stability.
The most unique thing about the GoLite Trail Fly is its sole. Instead of normal tread, trail claws jut out from the bottom to improve traction, dig into loose dirt, or lock on to jagged rock. When weight is applied to the individual claws, more surface contact is created to create more traction. Step on a rock or sharp stick, and not only will you not get a sudden pinch of pain, but your balance won't be thrown off, as the claws around the object will still maintain traction.
