The Mountainsmith Cross Country 3.0 Backpack conceals a sophisticated feature set within it's neat appearance. Now updated to be more environmentally friendly, this Mountainsmith backpack is made from 100% recycled PET fabric. The Cross Country features Mountainsmith's Load Dispersion Technology suspension, which evenly distributes the load directly to your hips. A pivoting waist belt with dual density foam allows for a more comfortable carry. The Cross Country has a spacious internal compartment with a multitude of pockets and organizers to keep your gear in check. The sleeping bag compartment is seperated with an internal divider to keep your gear seperate. Compression straps with quick release hardware on the outside accomidate a sleeping pad.

For those trekking in colder climates, dual ice axe loops with daisy chain rigging points accomodate your alpine gear. Two canted water bottle pockets accomodate 32oz water bottles. Stay hydrated by adding a hydration bladder, and use the exit port and bite valve catch to keep the tube out of the way. The Cross Country has a detachable daypack that is also hydration compatable. What can you do?
  • See the light
    switch to compact fluorescent bulbs that use 75% less energy than incandescent bulbs
  • Run the trail, not your water
    shut the water off while you brush your teeth, shave, soap up, shampoo, etc. You'll save hundreds of gallons each year and put money in the bank too!
  • Wash it right - new low-flow and energy star washers and dryers use a fraction of the water and energy of their predecessors. Upgrade if you an afford it.
  • Charge it
    Never throw batteries in the garbage. Collect them and take them to a recycling center. Better yet, use solar energy or rechargeable whenever possible
  • Color your paper green
