Weighing in at just over two pounds, the Light Year Down 20 is filled with 650-fill power goose down. With its box-baffle construction, the Light Year provides insulation throughout, eliminating cold spots. The side seams of the Light Year are at ground-level, preventing precious heat from escaping. Also helping to keep heat in and cold out is a draft tube that runs along the length of the zipper. Security loops allow you to secure this Kelty bag to your sleeping pad. If you require a bit more warmth, internal liner loops can secure your favorite Kelty liner to the interior of the Light Year. But if it gets too hot under the form-fitting hood, simply open up the zippered foot vent to let excess heat escape.
