The Essence Jacket is made with Precip Plus, Marmot's proprietary PU coating technology specially engineered for unlined garments with excellent durability. A special layer next to the skin reduces condensation and the sticky clammy feel of most coatings. To further provide the Essence Jacket with waterproof protection, the Essence is 100% seam taped. The adjustable hood can be rolled up and secured with a Velcro tab when not in use. An elastic draw cord hem allows you to cinch the Essence Jacket to you, to keep out the elements. The Marmot Essence Jacket Womens is engineered for for weight-critical activities like adventure racing, biking, endurance races and speed climbing.
