Updated for 2008, the Hardrock still beautifully runs over rough, rocky terrain, but now has better comfort, fit and breathability. Unlike previous attempts to achieve this level of protection and stability, the Hardrock is agile, flexible, and light, which makes it versatile for everything from short and fast running, to long, hard hiking. The Gryptonite “sticky rubber” outsole offers great traction on wet and dry surfaces from rock and mud to grass and dirt. And with a multi-directional outsole design, the outstanding traction found on the Hardrock 08 is available in all directions. A TPU plate running the full length of these Montrail shoes protects the foot from rough terrain and provides support during long periods of running, hiking and walking. The dual density midsole of the Hardrock provides support for your midfoot and also controls pronation.
