A dual density hip belt completes the package, providing excellent control, comfort and load support. Foam reinforced panels at the top and bottom of the Supernatural 55 helps to stabilize the load. The large main compartment of the Supernatural 55 is easily accessed through the top of the pack, which can be removed to shave a few ounces. A separate compartment inside this Mountain Hardwear backpack holds a sleeping bag, and another holds a hydration bladder. When the 55 liters of space inside the Supernatural 55 is sometimes not enough, a Hypalon daisy chain offers multiple lashing options and accessory straps can be clipped to multiple points or removed entirely.
