The Mountain Hardwear Absolute Zero Overboot is designed for high altitude mountaineering adventures. Weighing at just 14 oz, these boots deliver essential warmth and functionality without adding much weight to your gear. The Absolute Zero Overboots are crampon compatible with a tough duraguard finish on the lower part of the boot. This duraguard is a rubber compound embedded through the fabric, creating an abrasion resistant material with an very high melting point.
These Mountain Hardwear boots are made with a Gore-Tex sleeve, and closed-cell foam inserts in between the inner and outer fabrics. Fhe FTX™ Ultra face fabric lined on the outer shell provides unsurpassed durability and waterproof protection.
Not sure these overboots will fit over your hiking boots? Don't worry, the adjustable, interior boot attachment will be certian to give you a snug fit. There is also a one-handed, top drawcord cinch on the tops of the boots to make sure snow does not enter in. So if you're going high-altitude mountaineering, overboots are a necessary component to staying warm and dry.
