Mountain Hardwear Direttissima Backpack
The
Mountain Hardwear Direttissima Backpack is the pack for the hard-core user tackling long days in rough terrain. The suspension system of the Direttissima is comprised of a HDPE framesheet with an alloy rod which is easily shaped to the user's back, a compression-molded foam back panel that balances comfort, ventilation and snow-shedding, and dual density shoulder straps and a hipbelt to distribute the load evenly for maximum comfort. But it's the ability to strip all of this down makes the Direttissima one of the most versatile packs around. Remove the frame sheet and lid, and swap the padded hipbelt for the included webbing belt and you have a sleeker, minimalist pack. Super-durable HardWear tarp on the front panel of the Direttissima slides over rocks and sharp edges resisting damage. The compression straps of the Direttissima allow you to cinch the load closer to your back for a more comfortable carry, and they tuck away for a clean apperance. Attachment points accommodate a full load of tools, like ice axes, skis, and poles. When you're out in the cold, the last thing you want to do is take off your gloves to fumble with your pack buckles. That's why Mountain Hardwear has redesigned their buckles to make it easy to operate with gloves. Designed for multi-day trips, climbing and mountaineering, the Mountain Hardwear Direttissima Backpack is a ‘one-pack wonder’ that hauls all your gear, but strips down to 2 lb. 7oz. for a lightened load for the push to the summit.
