The Mountain Hardwear EV 2 Tent is designed for alpine weather expeditions. The EV2 tent was built Under the supervision of Ed Viesturs from Mountain Hardwear. Mountain Hardwear purposefully designed this compact, light, strong, two-person tent for the rigors of high altitudes. The Mountain Hardwear EV 2 Tent's trim design fits on thin ledges, and its easy clip setup helps in high wind. The EV2 is made of VX02 fabric, which is a lightweight, strong, non-stretch laminate. This tent stabilizes and strengthens when pitched, and the Atlas Scandium SL poles give an extreme amount of sturdiness while still being able to shave weight. This Mountain Hardwear tent has an interior zip and built in ventilation which helps frost management, and an integrated vestibule which provides protection from the elements.
