Pivoting waist belt with dual density foam allows for a more comfortable carry of this Mountainsmith pack. For those looking to leave their pack at the base camp, the lid of the PCT 45 detaches and converts into a summit ascent pack.
For those trekking in colder climates, the Mountainsmith PCT 45 has dual ice axe loops with daisy chain rigging points to accomodate your alpine gear. Compression straps with quick release hardware on the outside accomidate a sleeping pad. Two canted water bottle pockets accomodate 32oz water bottles. Stay hydrated by adding a hydration bladder to the PCT 45, and use the exit port and bite valve catch to keep the tube out of the way.
