The North Face

The North Face is the coldest, most unforgiving side of a mountain. As their name implies, TNF has helped explorers reach the most unfathomable heights of the Himalayas. Since the beginning, The North Face has had a proud tradition of exploration which continues in full force today and constantly reinforces The North Face mantra, Never Stop Exploring™.

The 1990s ushered in an era during which The North Face launched Tekware™, an innovative collection designed to provide rock climbers, backpackers, hikers, trail runners, and outdoor enthusiasts with the ultimate fit and function. The North Face half dome logo began to appear with greater regularity on ultramarathon courses, high-country trails, and big walls. As we embark on the new millenium, The North Face launched its own line of trekking and trail-running shoes to ultimately address the head-to-toe needs of those always striving for the next horizon.

Patagonia

Yvon Chouinard, Patagonia's founder, got his start as a climber in 1953 at the ripe old age of 14. Soon after he began to create his own climbing gear for himself and friends. This gradually evolved to a full fledged business known for both ingenuity and environmental awareness.

Eventually, the Patagonia innovative mindset lead to the creation of Capilene base layer and Synchilla outer layers. When combined, these two technologies created a warmth masterpiece. Regulator insulation is Patagonia's newest innovation and represents a significant technical improvement over Synchilla. It's lighter, warmer, wicks moisture more quickly and is far more compressible in a pack.

Canada Goose

Founded in a small warehouse in Toronto almost sixty years ago, Canada Goose has grown into one of the world's leading makers of luxury apparel. Inspired by one of the coldest places on earth, the Expedition Parka was developed in the early 80's to meet the unique needs of scientists at Antarctica's McMurdo Station.

Canada Goose, which has long been the (un)official jacket of film crews everywhere it's cold, makes its on-screen debut in two key films: The Day After Tomorrow and National Treasure. Soon after, the brand exploded in popularity and now you can see the unmistakable logo on jackets everywhere protection from the cold is needed.
