In addition to the shell and insulation the Storm Bound Jacket features a zip-out powder skirt, internal balaclava and helmet compatible hood that all conspire to trap your natural heat while sealing out blowing snow and biting wind. Outdoor Research outfitted the StormBound Jacket with an Integrated RECCO reflector on the left shoulder; these revolutionary transponders reflect and enhance the radio signals sent by the detector units used by many search-and-rescue organizations after an avalanche.
