That's why the insulated Rubicon Rider combines the necessary warmth for a good thaw with a highly breathable soft-shell fabric and durable, waterproof panels. The Men's Patagonia Rubicon Rider is made from supple, 50-denier 100% polyester ripstop for decidedly breathable performance during high-output endeavors. With a Deluge DWR (durable water repellent) finish to block out wind and persistent snow squalls. Tough 2-layer panels, made from 150-denier polyester (50% recycled) with a H2No waterproof/breathable barrier, beef up the jacket's shoulders, elbows, and bottom hem to increase abrasion-resistance. A lightweight layer of compressible 150-g Thermogreen polyester (90% recycled) insulation warms up predawn starts. Finer points of the mens Rubicon Rider Jacket include underarm venting, an easy-gliding liner (100% all-recycled polyester taffeta), a zip-off powder skirt with webbing loops that attach to any Patagonia Ski and Snowboard pants, removable hood with a single-hand adjustment, handwarmer pockets, a zippered chest pocket (holds an audio device), and two inside pockets.
