Fred Headlamp - There are few things more annoying than turning on a headlamp in a pitch black tent, blinding yourself and your tentmates. The Princeton Tec Fred Headlamp seeks to eliminate that problem by using red lighting to preserve night vision until you need to go brighter. Keeping the same ergonomic and lightweight styling of the popular Fuel headlamp, the Fred headlamp substitutes one of the Fuel's white LEDs for a red one. And when it's time to turn on, this Princeton Tec headlamp will always turn on in the low mode of the red LED. Powering up the other 3 white LEDs just requires holding down the power button for a little longer. These other 3 Ultrabright LEDs can blast a bright 42 Lumen beam of light onto your backcountry adventures. With two bulb configurations and two power settings, the Fred headlamp can last from 74 to 180 hours on three AAA batteries! The Fred Headlamps unique single-arm ratcheting head pivots up and down, providing a wide range of motion so you can aim the beam wherever you need it most. With the added benefit of night vision preservation, the Princeton Tec Fred Headlamp packs huge output into a small lightweight package!
