This innovative self-inflating sleeping pad features an air-holding seal sandwiched between a top layer of open-cell foam and a bottom layer of closed-cell foam. Because the air pocket is protected by the layer of closed cell foam, the Thermarest ToughSkin provides unprecedented protection from thorns and sharp rocks. And in the unlikely event that that ToughSkin does get punctured, this mattress will continue to provide warmth, comfort and performance.
