The Mountain Hardwear Trango 3.1 Tent is a tough, three person expedition tent. Taped, full coverage nylon fly with silicone coated outer and polyurethane coated inner protects the tent body of the Trango 3.1 from harsh elements. Even the floor seams on the tent body are taped. Not all tents have a floor seam, much less are taped! Off-ground perimeter seams form a waterproof tub. Two full-size doors in the Trango 3.1 give you a choice of mesh for venting or ripstop for privacy or foul weather. These D-shaped doors stay off the ground when open to prevent snow and other elements from entering the tent every time you open the door. There is a generously sized thru-vent in the upper canopy of this Mountain Hardwear tent, with matching UVX fly window. The Catenary-cut seams of the Trango creates a taut canopy and improves fly strength.
The vestibule of the Mountain Hardwear Trango 3.1 Tent has a full-length pole for maximum space and a rear vestibule gives you extra room for gear storage and a second entry point. Large stake out loops accept skis and pickets so you don't have to carry stakes, should you have something that will work just as well. Multiple guy-out loops with pole clips on the inside of the fly adds stability to the Trango 3.1. Inside the tent, to keep yourself organized, there are large mesh pockets and webbing hang loops. If you're looking to shed some pack weight, then the Fly, poles and footprint can be used without the tent body as an ultralight shelter.
