The first backpack Dick Kelty designed when he founded Kelty, the Kelty Trekker Backpack is the pack that started it all. The Trekker has been the choice for Boy Scouts and entry-level backpackers for decades and its brilliant design will make it relevant for years to come. Built to be indestructable in the face of Mother Nature, the durability of this pack is the stuff of legends, and the simple, comfortable, and lightweight design has led to one of the most successful packs that Kelty manufactures. The overall design of the Trekker has changed little over the five decades since its inception, but as the years passed, more and more technical features have been added, resulting in a pack that's great for beginners and veterans alike. Thanks to the external frame design, the Trekker has an easy-to-adjust suspension which makes it the perfect backpack to grow with, or share in a group. The waistbelt, backpanel, and shoulder straps are ventilated to keep you cool and dry while strapped in, and the dual density foam waistbelt, sternum strap, and belt stabilizers provide a custom fit for a more comfortable carry. The pack itself is hydration compatible with a sleeve and port for a hydration bladder, and the large number of pockets and compartments along with the top-loading system makes packing and organizing your gear a breeze. The sleeping bag compartment makes it a cinch to store your bag, and the mesh water bottle pocket gives makes it easy to hydrate when you're on the go. Storing gear on the outside of your pack has never been easier thanks to the daisy chain and lash tabs on the exterior of the Trekker. Whether you need to store a sleeping pad or trekking poles, you'll find that attachment is as easy as strapping them on. The ice-axe loops are designed for easy tool-attachment if you're planning something a little more technical than a boy-scout campout. Designed with versatility and durability in mind, the Trekker was built to put up with the worst the backcountry has to offer and pull you through to the other side.
